When I wrote this poem, I had just returned from a trip to the Middle East. To the desert. To the beginning! I was astonished and heartbroken to see how polluted even some of the most remote places of our world, have become.. Return to your abandoned heart is a reminder, that we are apart of the world we are trying to save. We are not separate from it.
